I don’t want to sound like a spoiled brat, but I hate my Christmas gifts. Being that I’m a 28-year-old adult, I don’t get very many presents and I have come to the point where I don’t expect to get any. When I do get a gift, I’m hoping it’s a good one, but that’s usually not the case.
This year my grandma gave me a bunch Style & Co tops and sweaters. When I saw the tag, I knew it was going to be ugly. Style & Co.’s demographic is the middle-aged woman, 28 is nowhere near middle aged. I opened the gift and automatically knew I was going to lie and say I liked everything only to return 80% of what she gave me to Macy’s and use the store credit at M.A.C. Can you tell this has happened before?
I know it sounds bad, I’m just really hard to shop for. I’m extremely particular! Clearly my grandma didn’t read my Millennial Christmas List blog post from a few weeks ago. Just give me the cash or a gift card, it also doesn’t hurt to just ask me if I want or need anything. Here’s another suggestion, don’t get me anything. Save your time, energy, and money, then I won’t have to deal with the disappointment of receiving the bad gift(s) and the feelings of guilt about being a spoiled bratty asshole all because I hate my Christmas gifts, see everybody wins. Oh well, I’m alive and breathing this Christmas morning, so I’m thankful! I hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas!!!
I’m sorry you didn’t like your gifts but I can’t help but laugh! You are funny. BTW, I hope grandma doesn’t see this post lol

Wait I completely agree! I don’t understand why parents/grandparents don’t ask!!

Right! My parents usually give me the money and tell me to pick out what I want then I have to put it under the tree like I don’t know what it is lol. My grandma needs to get on board with that lol.

They buy clothes that are too big, accessories that are irrelevant and never think once to check our lists. š it’s just to see our expression when we open it.

ššš I don’t even open the gifts in front of them anymore for that exact reason. My facial expression
would expose my true feelings, it’s hard to hide disappointment lol
